Rules and Regulations of project recruitment in the "Feel good @UEKat – support for improving the psycho-physical condition of foreign students at UE Katowice" project under the "Welcome to Poland" program

                                                                                     General provisions
                                                                                       § 1

  1. The following Rules and Regulations specify the rules of recruitment and participation in the "Feel good @UEKat – support for improving the psycho-physical condition of foreign students at UE Katowice" project (Agreement No. PPI/WTP/2022/1/00105/U/00001), hereinafter referred to as the Project.
  2. Participation in the Project is free of charge. The Project is implemented under the rules of the "Welcome to Poland" program of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
  3. The organization recruiting participants is the University of Economics in Katowice, ul. 1 Maja 50, 40-287 Katowice, NIP 6340008825, hereinafter referred to as University. The Project Manager is Magdalena Skowron, tel. 322577154, magdalena.skowron@uekat.pl

                                                                                   Basic information about the Project
                                                                                              § 2

  1. Project implementation period: from 01-07-2023 to 31-12-2024, a total of 18 months.
  2. This Project aims to support the internationalization potential of the University of Economics in Katowice and the reception and service of foreign students by creating a friendly environment that improves their mental and physical well-being.
  3. The provisions of these Rules and Regulations of recruitment and participation in events, workshops, and competitions in the "Feel good @UEKat" project conducted by the University of Economics in Katowice within the framework of the NAWA "Welcome to Poland" program, hereinafter referred to as Events, concern activities related to recruitment and participation implemented within the framework of the Project conducted by the University of Economics in Katowice, hereinafter referred to as the University.
  4. The Project shall launch the following Events related to the recruitment of participants:

    1) organization of a series of workshops aimed at improving the mental and physical well-being of participants, including:

    • workshops on the basics of mental well-being
    • workshops on stress management
    • workshops on the improvement of effective learning techniques
    • workshops on healthy food
    • mindfulness workshops
    • yoga workshops

    2) organization of a series of integration events aimed at simultaneously improving the mental and physical well-being of students:

    • workshops on creating forests in a jar
    • "Adopt a plant" campaign
    • "I feel good @ Katowice" photo contest
  5. A Project participant can be a person who qualifies for one of the following groups:
    • international student
    • domestic student
  6. These Rules and Regulations will be available at the Internationalization Office and published on the Project website www.ue.katowice.pl/feelgood

                                                                                        Recruitment rules
                                                                                              § 3

  1. A separate recruitment process shall be organized for each Event, conducted at least 20 days before the date of every activity.
  2. The relevant deadlines referred to in § 3 (1) will be published on the Project website www.ue.katowice.pl/feelgood
  3. Applications can be submitted using registration forms available on the Project website www.ue.katowice.pl/feelgood
  4. The recruitment process is governed by Project Manager Magdalena Skowron.
  5. The recruitment process is open and based on equal opportunities and non-discrimination principles.
  6. The condition for participation in the recruitment process is to meet the requirement specified in § 2 (5) of these Rules and Regulations and to complete the registration form.
  7. The following number of people are scheduled to attend each Event:

    1) workshop-type Events – 40 people per workshop, assuming 30% of participants are domestic students and 70% are international students;
    2) other Events – no limit on the number of people.

  8. In the case of a larger number of applications, the selection of participants in individual Events shall be determined based on the order of applications received, with priority given to those who have not previously participated in any of the Events organized under this Project.
  9. Recruitment results for each Event shall be announced according to the deadlines listed on the Project website. Recruitment results are understood as a message sent to each candidate via email with information on whether they have been qualified for the Event.
  10. Participants of the Events shall receive a set of documents either via email or in person, i.e.:

    1) statement on the protection of personal data of a project participant (GDPR) – NAWA,
    2) additional consent of a participant for the processing of personal data.

  11. Documents referred to in (10) should be printed, completed, signed, and delivered in person to Internationalization (room No. 112, building A), no later than 1 week before the program's commencement date.
  12. Submission of documents after the established deadline and submission of incomplete documents shall result in the person submitting the documents being removed from the list of Project participants.
  13. During the recruitment process and throughout the implementation of the Project, the University shall communicate with applicants via email or in person as part of Welcome Point activities.
  14. If interest in participation in the Project is high, it is possible to create a standby list.
  15. In the case of a vacant place on the list of Project participants, persons from the standby list shall be included on the list of Project participants, provided that they meet all criteria for participation in the Project.
  16. A participant placed on the waiting list must meet the same requirements and formal regulations as the participant qualified for the Project during the initial stage of recruitment.

                                                               Other rights and obligations of Project participants
                                                                                               § 4

  1. Cancellation of participation in the Project is possible by submitting a written statement to Internationalization or an e-mail statement sent to magdalena.skowron@uekat.pl
  2. Project participants are obliged to familiarize themselves with the content of these Rules and Regulations and to comply with them during the implementation of the Project.
