Purchase of an airline ticket

In connection with the outcome of the tender for the University's services in the field of reservation, sale and delivery of international airline tickets, based on the concluded contract, from 30th July 2022 services in the above scope will be provided to the University by the following company: 

WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership  
based in Tyczyn; address: 36-020 Tyczyn, 108A Kielnarowa  St. 

The office is open from Monday to Friday from: from 8.00 to 18.00

Due to the above, from 30th July 2022 costs of airline tickets purchased in a different company than the above-mentioned contractor will not be settled by the University. 

For providing services to the University, WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership is entitled to the following remuneration (added to the price of airline tickets):

  • amount of the transaction fee for issuing one international airline ticket for connections within Europe: PLN 59.00 gross 
  • amount of the transaction fee for issuing one international airline ticket for connections outside Europe: PLN 59.00 gross 
  • amount of the transaction fee for issuing one international ticket in the so-called "cheap carrier": PLN 49.00 gross. 

In addition, we would like to inform you that there are four options for purchasing airline tickets (the procedure is described below), i.e.: 
1. A person planning a foreign trip makes his/her own flight reservation at WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership 
Payment method – invoice payable by bank transfer by the University.

  • This person should:
    • set up with WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership the connection he/she wants to purchase 
    • make a preliminary reservation 
    • send the reservation to the employee of the International Relations Office, with whom the trip is arranged 
  • the employee of the International Relations Office purchases the selected flight connection at WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership
  • WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership buys a ticket and issues an invoice to the University
  • WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership sends an airline ticket to the person planning a foreign trip. 

2. A person planning a foreign trip makes a flight reservation at WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership and pays for the invoice. The person plans to settle at the University. 
(the situation occurs when a person does not have the Rector's consent to a foreign trip at the time of purchasing the ticket and cares about preferential prices of flight connections, or when it is a private-business trip or is partially financed by the University, e.g. trips under the Erasmus+ programme) 

  • This person should: 
    • set up with WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership the connection he/she wants to purchase 
    • buy a ticket (note: before purchasing a plane ticket, please contact an employee of the International Relations Office, who confirms at WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak sp. k. that the person is an employee of the University) 
    • pay the amount due from own funds (bank transfer, credit card – according to the rules applicable at WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership in a specific case) 
    • receive a ticket and an invoice issued to the University by WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership
    • submit the ticket and the invoice to the International Relations Office at the time of settlement.  

3. Employees of the International Relations Office make a flight reservation in standard airlines for a person planning a foreign trip, i.e.: 

  • Employee of the International Relations Office performs the following activities: 
    • contacts WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership to provide the date and place of travel
    • after receiving connection proposals from WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership, the employee contacts the departing person, who selects a specific flight connection
    • makes a flight reservation 
    • after confirming compliance of the flight connection (acceptance of the connection by the departing person), he/she sends a request to purchase the ticket to WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership 
  • WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership buys a ticket and issues an invoice to the University 
  • the plane ticket is sent to the person planning a foreign trip by an employee of the International Relations Office.

4. Employees of the International Relations Office buy tickets in low-cost airlines. 
Payment method – invoice payable by bank transfer by the University.

Two possible options: 
Option 1:

  • a person planning a foreign trip with a low-cost airline, recognizes at WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership a connection he/she plans to purchase 
  • provides the International Relations Office with details of the flight connection, i.e. airline, connection, flight hours, type and weight of luggage 
  • employee of the International Relations Office provides WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership with the received information and requests to purchase an airline ticket 
  • WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership buys a ticket and issues an invoice to the University 
  • the airline ticket is sent to the person planning a foreign trip by an employee of the International Relations Office 

Option 2: 

  • an employee of the International Relations Office recognizes a flight connection at WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership that he/she intends to purchase for a person planning a foreign trip 
  • sets up details of the connection with the person planning a foreign trip, i.e.: airline, connection, flight hours, type and weight of luggage 
  • provides WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership with the received information and requests to purchase an airline ticket  
  • WhyNotTravel Załoga Nasternak limited partnership buys a ticket and issues an invoice to the University 
  • the airline ticket is sent to the person planning a foreign trip by an employee of the International Relations Office.
